My Lotus Garden 2021 - Photo Journal

This year, these group of Lotus grew really well.  Although the original two plants I purchased back in 2019 still did not blossom, the ones I purchased this year "Little Green", just sprouted with the summer and gave a great show.  The ones from the variety seeds I purchased even thrived and gave beautiful flowers.  The only thing that is different from all other Lotus I planted - Pink Lips, etc. these new ones did not give as much scent in the air during it bloom.

This is from the seed.
Time to rest.  This pot of Lotus is from 2019.  It grew beautiful foliages but did not bloom.
The different species grew different seedings.
It was a great show this summer.

Organic Thai Tea Testing

I was running out of my favorite Thai Tea with no food color I purchased as few years back from Thai merchant on the eBay.  I tried to repurchase from the same vendor, but they are no longer listed.  So when I found this "all natural" Thai Tea supposedly with no food color added on Amazon, I thought I will give it a try.  What a disappointment.
The tea brew into dirity dish pan color instead of black tea.  As you can see the difference compared to my Thai Tea I had.

See the copperish color created by  Annatto seed color.  And it tasted horrible.
This is my original Thai Tea with no food color I had.
My Thai Tea after brewing for 6 minutes.  Nice and dark.

Adding condensed milk.  Yum!

Photo Journal of - Thompson Grapes 2021

I can't remember how long it's been.  Ah! 7 years, 2014, since this Thompson Grape vine was gifted to me.  It grew a strand or two clusters in 2018.  But they never matured.  I remember the first year when it fruited.  The grape did not form the usual inverted triangle shape cluster.  It was like a "splat" shape. In October of 2020, it was kind of okay, but sour, unedible.  They were a pretty looking cluster though.   This is the first year that grapes looked like a grape in it's cluster form.  I already noticed today that something is already enjoying the fruits.  I think it's those neighborhood jays and doves or ??.

I learned this year in spring - the grapes 'flowered', too.

The rest will be ripe soon.  Hope whatever creature won't eat it all.
